August 2016 Disney Pixar Blog Hop

Welcome to the Disney Pixar Blog Hop!

Disney and crafting are a magical combination, and we are so happy you joined us to day for this blog hop.  Some of the crafters participating in this event have been doing this together since 2011!  Over the years the hop has grown but one thing has always stayed the same . . . amazing crafting projects that feature your favorite characters from Disney and Pixar movies.

For 2016 we are going to have a hop every other month for the entire year!  If you missed one of the hops we already had this year, you can still go back and see the projects.  For February click HERE, for April click HERE and for June click HERE.  If you are on Facebook you can like the group page so that you can be the first to learn about each upcoming event.  Just click HERE to go the the Facebook page.

To make sure you don't miss any of the fun, be sure to start at Shawn's blog to see all of the projects.  Just click HERE to head over to Shawn's blog and then follow the hop line up at the bottom of the post to see everyone's projects.

Several years ago, I decided to donate some dies to my Sunday School program. My kids were older and we didn't use these. Before I did though, I thought, maybe I'll just save some pre-cut pieces. I bagged up lots of fun little pieces and tucked them away in my Disney box.

I now live in a neighborhood filled with young kids. I'm going to start offering some crafty classes for them, and I thought it would be fun to grab my next door neighbor Estefani and see what crafty fun we could discover with all these pieces. We created these adorable Disney Buddies, as she calls them.

Ariel, the Little Mermaid.

All of her favorite princesses, and a few made up ones too.

Wendy and Peter Pan.
Tinkerbell.

Jasmine and Aladdin.

Disney Pals.

After these photos were taken, Estefani decided we should put them on sticks. She's going to use them for photo bombing. Fun! Things I didn't even think of when my kids were little. Now every kid has a cell phone. Estefani said instead of finding Pokémon, she'll be finding fun scenes for her new Disney Buddies.

I hope you enjoy them! If you have punches and an ability to cut out some people shapes, I bet you can come up with some fun Disney Buddies too! Or there are all these fun, fancy cartridges from Cricut.

We used a set called "We Go Together" from Gina K Designs for our Disney Buddy faces. I love the popular Kawaii look. The faces are stamped in Peach Bellini ink, also from Gina K Designs.

Before you go, make sure to enter to win our prize for this hop . . .

We have a prize from Clear Scraps!  You could win one of their sandcastle chipboard albums!  This is perfect for your summer beach photos or with a little magic, this castle becomes the home for any Disney Princess.
